What you need to know before using foam tape:
First, before using foam tape, we should have a more comprehensive understanding of it, including its use, storage environment, service life, and so on.
1. Usage:
(1) Before using the foam tape to paste, it is necessary to remove the dust and oil stains on the surface of the adhesive object and keep the surface of the adhesive object dry (do not paste in the case of a wet wall on rainy days).
For example, for pasting a mirror, use alcohol to clean the adhesive surface first and then paste it after the adhesive surface is completely dry.
(2) When using foam tape, the ambient working temperature should not be lower than 10℃. If the temperature is lower than this, the adhesive surface should play the adhesive characteristics of the foam tape better.
(3) When pasting heavy parts with foam tape, it is necessary to pay attention to the following: when pasting, pressure or press the foam tape as much as possible, and it can also be placed flat for 24 hours.
If there is no such condition, the bearing object should be supported within 24 hours of vertical adhesion.
2. Storage environment:
(1) Foam tape should be stored in the warehouse to avoid sun and rain; Do not contact with organic solvents of acid and alkali oil, keep clean and dry.(2) The tape should be placed in rolls, not folded, and should be turned regularly when the storage time is too long.
(3) The type and specifications of foam tape should be reasonably selected according to the use needs and specific conditions.
(4) When the tape is found to have early damage during use, the cause should be found in time to avoid the appearance of adverse consequences.
3, service life:
The service life of the tape is normally 1-2 years, calculated from the date of production.
